Gosnells City FC has been providing junior players aged 10 to 16, living in and around the City of Gosnells, the opportunity to play and enjoy football at a variety of levels for a number of decades now. Our goal is to provide GCFC junior players with the highest level of coaching and encouragement possible. The Club can also provide a pathway from all levels of junior football to all levels of senior football as the club has a team at every age of junior football and in every type of senior football there is within the state.

13s Div 1 GCFC v Canning City

Played : 9.30am, 9th May, 2010 at Walter Padbury Reserve

Result : GCFC 2 Def Canning City 1

Our Boys pulled off their first win for the season! A fantastic team effort! Each player can be proud of their contribution to the result.

Karrar displayed fine ball skills, Mitchell worked hard in defence and Gosnells dominated the first half with Ahmed striking in the 12th minute of play.

Rhys played extremely well in the defence. Between Ryan and Lennon taking turns to save the ball, a couple of successive corners were deflected and we finished the first half with a clean slate. Great pressure put on the opposition by Jess and Jafar at various stages of the game in the side lines.

Canning City came into the second half attacking and soon scored their first goal. Syahru dribbled his way passed the canning defenders and shot a beauty into the corner of the nets. There were some very tense moments in the second half where the game was played in our D; Ryan was pivotal in his role as Centre back where he played through the pain of a sore foot. Keeper Lennon (MVP) for his brilliant saves throughout the game, including a penalty save in the last 3 minutes of play ensured that we finished up on top!

The best Mother’s Day present ever for Gosnells 13’s Mums!

Thanks to Tony for stepping in as our Ref, Jim for being our marshal and Heather for the oranges.
